This volume comprises the personal stories of WWII veterans of the 95th Bombardment Group (H). The 95th fielded the United States' first B-17s over Berlin and was the only US Eighth Air Force group awarded three Presidential Unit Citations in the European Theater of Operations during the war. The accounts are organized in sections that describe the stateside training; the specific challenges faced in war years 1943, 1944, and 1945; and the steep price of war, e.g., KIAs/MIAs, POWs, Evadees, and Internees.
